Founded by capital markets expert Ed Allchin in 2024, Fintrinsic specialises in delivering world-class advisory services to financial services participants, including institutional investors, asset managers, fintech companies, and corporates.

Over 25 years of capital markets experience, forged through leadership roles at top global financial institutions and a proven track record of building successful businesses.

01 Foundational experience

Ed began his career as a graduate trainee at HSBC James Capel in 1997 and quickly rose through the ranks at firms like Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, and JPMorgan, becoming a recognized leader in the European banking space.

02 Navigating crisis and change

During the Global Financial Crisis, Ed was ranked as the #1 Bank Specialist-Salesperson by Institutional Investor in 2008 and 2009, providing critical insights during one of the most turbulent periods in financial history.

03 Building a global business

In 2009, Ed co-founded Autonomous Research, a world-class equity and credit research platform. Under his leadership, the firm became a benchmark for excellence, with global operations and a stellar reputation for innovation and quality, culminating in its acquisition by AllianceBernstein in 2019

04 Entrepreneurial vision

Following his exit from Autonomous in 2024, Ed established Fintrinsic to provide boutique consulting and advisory services to financial services firms, asset managers, and fintech innovators, combining his deep expertise with a passion for driving industry progress.
